Child

Today's Quote

The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect he becomes an adolescent; the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult; the day he forgives himself, he becomes wise.

Understanding

Adopted Child

Once there were two women who never knew each other..
One you do not remember, the other you call mother.

Two different lives, shaped to make Your one...
One became your guiding star, the other became your sun.

The first gave you life and the second taught you to live it.
The first gave you a need for love, and the second was there to give it.

One gave you a nationality, the other gave you a name.
One gave you a seed of talent, the other gave you an aim.

One gave you emotions, the other calmed your fears.
One saw your first sweet smile, the other dried your tears.

One gave you up ... that's all she could do.
The other prayed for a child and God led her straight to you.

And now you ask me, through your fears,
the age old question unanswered throughout the years...

Heredity or environment .. Which are you the product of?

Neither, my darling .. neither..
just two different kinds of love.

A Wonderful Weekend

K calls me on late Friday afternoon- hey guess what she says, we are coming to Maine to see you and your family!!!! Ahhh no way, I seriously thought she was joking. But no, J booked a room at
  • samoset resort

  • "The Samoset Resort" and yes they were leaving later that day- Wow after 4.5 years I was really going to see my best friend in the entire world ever. Saturday morning about 9:30 A.M. there they were at my front door., her whole family- What an exciting amazing euphoric feeling to see her and her family at our home. Her children are just too cute a bit shy at first but that's expected because they don't who the heck I am or who my husband and children are. We had a great time at the resort pool., and then Saturday night dinner was a blast. It was a really good time to spend time with her and her family. It was a very utmost high light of my summer so far. Friendship is such a valued treasure and I am a very lucky woman to still be sharing that with her after ten years. I am forever grateful to J for making this long tedious trip up here so we could see one another.

    Farmer's Market Children's Day

Here they look so eager and innocent, Ha if that was only the way they behaved all the time Life would be so easy. They really had a great time watching the puppet show, doing the clown toss, and the bubbles.

    Deck

We have a bigger deck, we expanded by 12 feet, I really wanted to cover that old rigid concrete on the other side. It looks beautiful. My handsome sexy husband carpenter did this job in two weekends. I am forever grateful to have married a handy man then some. I am also so happy that in the process of wood, powertools, nails etc...That our children survived the on going project in one piece.

    Beach

well I felt the kids needed to go to the beach since its 92 here and there are no excuses because the beach is 3 miles up the road....
it's fun to watch them play in the sand and the water....but then you look around..and you see the perfect mom who doesnt even get sand on her entire body not even her feet!! and to top it off you hate her because she has the perfect arse...lol (rememeber your shape at 17) after 2 kids...mind you
And here I am in a tank and shorts the biggest size ever in life- cant even find a bathing suit unless it has the skirt on it the kind your mother wears....
but then I think to myself--- hey the kids look great in their swimsuits and they are having a blast building castles with shells and throwing sand on mommy--life is good....
I need to go on a starvation diet!!!!

Good Kate's seafood....Parents are good mood bad mood....rain sunny days Happy Birthday S C!!!!!! Wow you are now officially 2 years old terrible 2 hit you six months ago though---- your still my sweet boy even in your ravenous moods please cont'd to steal my heart every single day- We love you. Happy Birthday to me--yep- I love my Bob the builder cake just as much as S was surprised to see our kitchen completely transformed in a bob the builder party!!!!! Wow a new playset, a t-ball set, a Clifford puzzle, and more clothes then a 2 yr old boy knows what to do with! I treated myself to new newbalance walking sneakers, a new skirt and two new tanktops...I hate the way my body fits into the fat girl clothes at the big girl fat store. My own damn fault for letting the dreadful Maine winter drag on with the comforts of food.
The 4th of July parade was great but an 1 hr and half is a bit much..., S enjoyed it very much but K wanted to go home after the first whitsle and horn banging from the first fire engine.., ha 12 more trucks to go. She did enjoy getting the candy they threw in the street. The firework display from our side yard was thrilling and dad and the kids loved it very much. Ah, July is in it's prime.
