Lobster Trap Tree

What a magical sight to behold! Our local tree, made of 122 traps. It is an honor to all the lobsterman. How cool is this?

Children

Holidays and the children.....
We had a great quiet turkey day, then in or family tradition we went to see Santa at the waterfront the next day. It was a first for us to see the tree lighting that evening, but of course we had to go, the tree was made of lobster traps!

Snow on Thanksgiving Eve

Its been lightly snowing since 830am this morning here......

Have the Pumpkin pie in the oven as we speak/"write"
Feels good to bake....I enjoy baking, not cooking....The aromas of the pie and the wood stove are hypnotic.

It hasn't reached above 30 today so far, and doubt it will,
Stephen called me at lunch time told me to stoke the wood stove and put a log or two in.....Well I did and made a warm fire all by myself!!!!! I did it!

Little Steve and me waited on the back deck for Kalen's school bus, and he shoveled some snow.., kept saying "mess, mess" so very cute and so simple. This year will be fun because I think he will have a better grasp on the holidays and the snowy weather we have all too often.

As big "S" Stephen says 'Let it snow Let it snow" Bah! Too early for my taste, but what can you when you live at the frig gin North Pole!

On the eve of Thanksgiving I take the time to reflect once again how lucky and blessed I truly am. I have a wonderful family. My very own and my extended loved ones. I began to talk with my younger brother again this year after two years of silence. I have incredible friends that have endured the value and loyalty of true meaningful friendships, although they area cross the miles, we remain. I have my health, my mom and dad do as well. What more could anyone else ask for or begin to feel the sense of gratitude I have in my life.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Self Discoverer

***You are a Self-Discoverer***

You're not religious, but you've created your own kind of spirituality.
Introspective and thoughtful, you tend to look inward for the divine.
You are distrusting of all forms of organized religion.
You especially dislike religious gurus and leaders, who you feel are charlatans.

Dance Class

After nine dance classes we are not going today, K is sick, poor baby. I think her school is filthy, with filthy, unkept children, they are getting her ill! She feels like the steps are too difficult. It is suppose to be fun I tell her. Do you like dance class? I ask her and she says yeahhh...,well great because it cost money I say to myself. I don't think I am pushing her I just want to expose her to as many different things as I can, be it art, dance, culture anything! She is so bright, I feel like she will be good at anything but how will she ever know if I don't expose her to certain activities? The thing about parenting is that it is just such a constant thing, it NEVER ends and there are constant decisions, even things such as dance class.
